The Outsight Radio Hours "Stylus Council" vinyl showcase airs weekly as the third segment of the Outsight Radio Hours Internet radio program

The theme music is the title track the Asylum Street Spankers album My Favorite Record .Here is my review of that album:

Asylum Street Spankers
My Favorite Record
Bloodshot/Spanks-A-Lot Records

My Favorite Record recalls fun and spirited hot jazz-era music. Rags and early blues styles with a vintage record collector's sensibility leap out of these startling originals. As a treat, the group includes their rendition of Willie Dixon's creepy "Insane Asylum." The group seems to have three personalities. Wammo presents the pre-rock rural pan-folk style while Guy Forsyth presents witty and ironic damaged pop like "Whatever" (a love song for trendinistas) and the title track. Rounding out for a third facet is Christina Marrs' delivery of vocal-oriented jazz songs like "Breathin'" and the Cole Porter-styled "Smile." (4)
