I am not sure if we call him Romes or the Canadian Radio Intern? But he works 7 till 11pm with famous DJ Tic Tak on the Farmington Hills radio station channel 955 and really did a great job on his remix Pistons song.

Young Mr. Romes took the "Holler Back Girls" song and made it into "Pistons Back to Back" you can hear it on his site www.markromeo.com. His singer Melissa Danese AKA Miss Danese, the recording studio www.sir-studios.com and his friends at radio station 955, should all be very prowd.

Our editor Della Cassia does articles on local women of importance, she may find it interesting that Rona Danzinger is one of the few female sports radio program directors in the country and works right here at the Farmington Hills Clear Channel studios.

Ms. Danzinger, Stoney and Wojo and many of the on air personalities were glad to see national Fox Sports radio host Jorge Sedano in town. Jorge pronounced George, was in town for the Pistons Heat play off game. Mr. Sedano is on the air after my friend JT the Brick, overnights on WDFN 1130am. Sedano does his show out of Miami and has earned a reputation as one of the best new sports talk radio talents in the country.

I always find it interesting so few people will take the time to say good things about WJR radio host Mitch Albom. I guess they figure he is so successful with his books, movies, TV appearances, newspaper column and the radio show, that he doesn't need or deserve a pat on the back. But Mitch, despite his recent newspaper snafu has always gone out of his way to tell interesting stories. To take people to places they have never been before. He also to my knowledge is the only radio host in American that lets local bands perform live on the air. Remember WJR is not a small am station its 50,000 watts cover a lot of area. So I want to take the time to thank Mitch Albom for letting my band perform Monday, June 13 form 3 till 6pm.

Here is the information list I had to fill out for Mitch's show. Upcoming Gigs include: Friday, June 17, 6pm till 10pm and Saturday afternoon June 18, 1pm till 6pm (our 15th year) at the Belleville Strawberry Festival located behind St. Anthony's Church, 409 north Columbia Street just south of downtown Belleville Michigan. This festival features everything Strawberry. Also a carnival, beer tent, Miss Strawberry Beauty Contest, Strawbarry Idol Karaoke Contest, fresh strawberries, chocolate covered strawberries, AND the strawberry shortcake eating Contest!

Then Benny and the Jets band will perform next week Saturday, June 25, 1 till 10 PM
the Waterford Elks Car Show and 50s Sock Hop Dance 2100 Scott Lake Road just south of Dixie Hwy. in Waterford Michigan. Bring this newspaper column and get in FREE.
